Decent Comics: "Underworld Reward Part 2" by Skeates and Aparo

Check it out, Groove-ophiles! The second part of Aquaman's battle against the surface world's underworld (think about it!) courtesy Steve Skeates and Jim Aparo! In Aquaman #45's (March 1969) "Underworld Reward Part 2," the King of the Seven Seas is still battling the mob in the "real world" while the fantasy angle is still being carried forward by his young ward Aqualad. Such cool stuff under an amazing Nick Cardy cover!

  1. Another great SAG entry. After the culmination of this long saga the series would turn to a number of smaller stories, including some bizarre, excellent one shots towards the end of the title. Of the four principal creators (including cover artist Nick Cardy) only Steve Skates is still around.

  2. Oh no! The fingers intertwined back punch! First popularized by James T. Kirk. I Guarantee you will break your fingers.
