Groove's Faves: "The Temple of Abomination" by Thomas and Giordano

Greetings, Groove-ophiles! Today let's plant our peepers on the truly-far-out Red Sonja lead feature from Marvel Feature Vol. 2, No. 1 (August 1975). It's Ol' Groove's all-time fave Big Red tale "The Temple of Abomination" by Roy Thomas and Dick Giordano (with background inks by Terry Austin). Cool story (based on a Robert E. Howard short). Awesome art. Who loves ya, baby?

  1. I had this (maybe still do) and loved it. I remember using Giordano's art as a model for practicing drawing Sonja.

  2. Ah Ol' Groove you just keep on cranking out the good stuff! I had never read this story but I'm glad to see our She-Devil with a sword in action once again!
